Host Your Event at the Pool

Pool Party Policies Piedmont Bend Recreation Association (PBRA) | Effective 2026 Season

We love that you want to celebrate with us! To make sure everyone — your guests and our members — has a great time, we've put together these guidelines to keep things fun, safe, and fair for the whole community.

What Counts as a Party? Any gathering of 10 or more non-member guests is considered a party and requires advance approval. Parties are capped at 30 total attendees (members and guests combined), and only one party may take place at a time during open pool hours.

Requesting Your Party We ask that all party requests be submitted at least 7 days in advance. Please note that parties are not available on PBRA event days or holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc.). To get the ball rolling, submit your request via the online form or by email and include the following: your requested date and time, estimated guest count, confirmation of required lifeguard(s) and documentation, and your contact information as the responsible member.

Party Fees We want to keep things straightforward! Here's a breakdown of fees:

  • Flat Party Fee: $75

  • Guest Fees: $5 for the first guest, $2 for each additional guest

  • Refundable Cleaning Deposit: $50 (collected at booking and returned after a satisfactory post-party inspection)

All fees must be paid prior to your party date.

Lifeguard Requirements Safety is our top priority! All parties are required to have certified lifeguards on site:

  • 1 certified lifeguard for up to 10 guests

  • 2 certified lifeguards for 15–25 guests

All lifeguards must be Red Cross Certified and either pre-vetted or selected from PBRA's approved list. Scheduling and payment are the responsibility of the hosting member.

Time & Duration Parties are limited to 2–3 hours and must wrap up by 9:30 PM, as the facility closes promptly at 10:00 PM.

Safety & Access We want your party to be a success, and that starts with keeping everyone safe! A few important reminders:

  • The hosting member must remain on-site and is responsible for all guests throughout the event.

  • All guests are expected to follow PBRA rules — they're an extension of your membership while they're here!

  • Please do not prop open the gate or allow guests beyond your approved list into the facility. Propping the gate open is grounds for immediate membership revocation.

  • Bounce houses, amplified music, and non-water recreational setups require prior Board approval.

  • Boogie boards, paddle boards, and hard floats are not permitted.

Cleanup We ask that you leave the facility just as you found it — sparkling and ready for the next group! Cleanup includes removing all trash and decorations (replacing trash bags and placing full bags in the bins outside the pool deck), tidying the restrooms, sweeping as needed, and returning any furniture to its original placement. Don't forget to take all personal items with you!

Failure to meet cleanup expectations will result in forfeiture of the $50 cleaning deposit. PBRA reserves the right to deny or revoke party privileges for failure to comply with these policies.

We can't wait to help you celebrate — let's make it a great one! 🎉
