It is time to register for summer league.

Dear Barracudas,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jane Hart for her tireless energy, dedication and hard work she has put in as coordinator, she has left some very large shoes for us to fill. So large it has taken three of us to fill them. Your new co-coordinators are Maggie Lohner, Wendy Morrow and Irene Cataldo.

The main purpose of summer league is fun and swim skill development. We will continue to strive to work with each individual’s ability, strengthen their skills and build confidence in their swimming. Our team goal is, by the end of the summer, that everyone who wants to swim the 100 IM will be able to do so.

We are excited to introduce our fabulous coaches. Head coach is Kali Ramsey and our two assistant coaches are Piedmont Bend’s very own Lindsey Jackson and Kurt Hofius. The three coaches will work together with our newest, little Barracudas. Our assistants will have an increased presence directly in the water with our more experienced Barracudas. They will also be providing Special Swim Clinics during some of our practice times.

As many of you know, swim team is a sport that is dependent on loyal and active parent volunteers. Many of us have given, and will continue to give, our time and talents. I encourage all parents, whether new or returning, to volunteer for positions they have not yet tried. We will help and train you. It is a commitment that will mean a lot to everyone, especially the children.

Swim Suits: We are using the same suit as last year; it’s a TYR Alliance Team Splice Maxback in Navy/Gold and is available at Kast-A-Way.
